All funds raised at the Remembery Walk will benefit any resident or their family living on Cape Cod with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
Why Support the Remembery Walk?
The Congressional Task Force on Alzheimer’s Disease reports that every 68 seconds someone in America develops Alzheimer’s disease. Harwich has the 4th highest population of Alzheimer’s disease on Cape Cod. Barnstable County statistics show that as our Lower Cape senior population increases in the next decade, so too will the prevalence of this disease.
Who Benefits from the Remembery Walk?
100% of the proceeds from the Remembery Walk provide financial support to caregivers and individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, when other resources are unavailable to them. Examples include Support Groups, Individual and Family Meetings and Supportive Counseling, Outreach, Memory Screenings and so much more!
“Many services and items needed by dementia patients aren’t covered by insurance, money raised in the Remembery Walk will help these people.”—Barbara-Anne Foley
